Race Commentary

The first lap was a lot of fun. Very technical and challenging to get up the short rocky or steep sections. I felt fast for me on the first lap. The second lap took a bit longer as I was no longer riding everything. For the third lap I was in a single-speed sandwich. One SS in front and Collin G behind me. I just kept working to get as close to the guy in front of me and stay as far ahead of Collin as I could. At one point I passed the guy in front of me on a the flat section, but he rode the technical stuff better and passed me back when I had to step off my bike briefly. Next year I'll need to do a lot more technical riding before the race.
