An endurance runner and mountain biker, Barry recently completed the Jay Challenge, paddling 26 miles on Friday, running 30 miles offroad on Saturday, and mountain biking 70 miles on Sunday!

Scott ("Scotty K") loved to ride his Schwinn Sting Ray with the chopper handlebars and banana seat then his Univega 10 speed, but on the day of his 16th birthday, the bikes went away. In 1997 when he was 34 and on a ski trip to Utah, he made a 3 day side trip to Moab and was introduced to mountain biking. He was hooked. In 1999, he road for the first time in New England at Kingdom Trails. In Sept. 2000, he moved to Boston and started riding with Rage the following Spring. By 2002, he was racing mountain bikes. In 2003, he won the Men's Novice Veteran overall title in EFTA. He self-promoted to Sport, got slammed the first year but has been progressing upwards since then. In 2005, he did his first road race and in 2006 began racing Sport Singlespeed in select races. In 2007, he's looking forward to the full slate of XC MTB (geared and singlespeed), MTB short track, road bike races, 24 hour races and maybe a downhill!
